Why did you choose this profession?
I’ve always been fascinated by human stories, emotions, and the beauty of life. Becoming a wedding planner wasn’t a sudden idea – it was a natural evolution of everything I am. In 2024, I fulfilled a dream by founding AURA Weddings & Events. I didn’t just want to organise weddings – I wanted to deeply connect with my couples and help them tell their own story through a celebration that feels real and personal.
And somewhere along this journey, I found my heart on the Cape Verde Islands – a place of calm, light, and soulful energy that continues to inspire the way I approach every wedding I create.
What inspires you in your work?
I’m inspired by human connection – that unspoken bond you can’t define but can feel. I love combining design and aesthetics with true meaning. It’s not just how a wedding looks – it’s how it feels that matters most to me. What touches me most are the moments that are truly genuine – when time stands still and you just know this is what it’s all about.
Which moments move you the most?
It’s those magical, silent moments when two people look at each other and the world fades away. The small gestures that reveal deep connection – a glance, a smile, shared laughter. These are the moments that remind me why I chose this path.
They hold a kind of intimacy that no timeline or decoration can replace. It’s in those in-between seconds that love becomes visible. And for me, those moments are the soul of every wedding.
